How do I add the AI CleanWeb widget to my home screen?
The AI CleanWeb widget shows how many trackers and ads have been blocked, and whether your protection is on, right on your home screen. You never have to open the app to check.
Adding it
iOS does not allow any app to place a widget for you, so this part is yours to do:
- Touch and hold an empty area of your home screen until the icons start to jiggle.
- Tap the + button in the top corner.
- Search for AI CleanWeb and tap it.
- Swipe between the two sizes, then tap Add Widget.
- Tap Done.
The medium size takes up the space of about four app icons and shows your blocked total along with your protection status. The small size shows the total on its own.
What it shows
The number is your lifetime blocked total, the same figure the app's main screen shows. It updates as the app records new blocks, so it may sit still for a while and then jump, rather than ticking up second by second.
If the widget says the status is unknown, open the app once. That happens when the widget has been added before the app has had a chance to share anything with it.
If you cannot find AI CleanWeb in the widget list
Make sure the app is installed and that you have opened it at least once. If it is still missing, restart your iPhone, which rebuilds the list of available widgets.
Do I need a subscription?
No. The widget works on the free plan.
