Cookie Notice

Last updated October 15, 2026

DeskCrew uses a small number of cookies and browser storage items, and every one of them is strictly necessary for the Service to work or to keep it secure, with one optional exception: the visitor journey item below, which is off unless a business turns it on for its own website. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or third-party analytics cookies, so there is nothing to opt in to and no cookie banner.

What we use

WhatWhyHow long
Sign-in session (cookie)Keeps you signed in to your DeskCrew workspace.Until you sign out, or it expires
Sign-in security (cookie)Protects a sign-in or app connection with another service (for example Google, Whop or Slack) from being forged.A few minutes
Feedback board voter (cookie)A random, signed ID so a vote on a public feedback board counts once. It does not identify you.One year
Support widget (browser storage, on the business’s own website)A random ID and a conversation key, so a visitor can come back to their chat and a feedback vote counts once.Until cleared from the browser
Display preferences (browser storage)Remembers language and light or dark mode on the sign-in pages.Until cleared from the browser
Network protection (cookie)Set by our network protection provider to tell people from automated abuse.Up to 30 minutes
Card checkout (browser storage, on the pay page only)Keeps you signed in by email while you buy USDC credit by card.Until you sign out, or it expires
Visitor journey (browser storage, on the business’s own website, only when the business turns journey capture on)A random visitor ID and visit ID, stored as deskcrew.vid.<key>, so the pages viewed, time on page, scroll depth and link or button clicks on that site can be kept together as one journey. Never keystrokes or form values. The site switches it off by setting window.DeskCrewConsent = false before the widget loads. The IDs until cleared from the browser; the recorded journey 90 days

On businesses’ own websites

When a business adds the DeskCrew support widget to its website, the widget stores only the items listed above in that site’s browser storage. It does not follow visitors across other websites. The business running the site is responsible for its own cookie notice and may list the widget there.

Visitor journeys

If the business turns on journey capture, the widget also records on that site the pages viewed, time on page, scroll depth, link and button clicks (visible text and link only), landing page, referrer, UTM tags, device class, browser language and timezone, never keystrokes or form field values. It is kept under the random visitor and visit IDs above (deskcrew.vid.<key>) and deleted after 90 days. A visitor who gives an email in the chat is linked to their customer record in that workspace. A site with its own consent banner can switch capture off by setting window.DeskCrewConsent = false before the widget loads. Our Privacy Policy has the full description.

Your choices

You can clear or block cookies and browser storage in your browser settings. If you block the strictly necessary items, signing in, chatting through the widget or voting on a feedback board may stop working.
