What happens if I go over my AI reply allowance?

What happens if I go over my AI reply allowance?
The accepted answer
Hi — great question before a busy month.
Here's exactly what happens when you pass your AI allowance (DeskCrew meters **AI resolutions**, not every chat message):
**If you're on Free**
- Free includes **25 AI resolutions** per month (and 100 conversations).
- Free has **no overage billing**. When you hit the cap, the AI allowance stops for the period instead of charging extra.
- Your desk still works: tickets, human replies, and the rest of the product keep going — only the metered AI resolution allotment is capped.
- Admins get a heads-up email at **80%** and **100%** of a free allowance.
**If you're on Pro, Team, or Agency**
- Each plan includes a monthly AI-resolution allotment (Pro **150**; Team/Agency **750**).
- Past the allotment, extra confirmed AI resolutions bill as metered overage on your next invoice:
- **Pro**: $0.49 each
- **Team / Agency**: $0.39 each
- So on paid plans you are **charged automatically for overage** via Stripe metered billing — the assistant does not silently “just stop” the way Free caps.
**What does *not* break**
- Going over AI resolutions does not shut down your tickets or human support workflow. Humans stay in the loop either way (AI drafts still need human approval before send).
**How to watch it live**
- Open **Dashboard → Billing** (`/dashboard/billing`) for used vs included **AI resolutions** and conversations this period.
- Invoices/receipts (including overage line items) are under **Manage billing** (Stripe Customer Portal).
If you tell me which plan you're on (or about to pick) for that busy month, I can sanity-check the included allotment vs a rough resolution volume so you know whether to expect caps (Free) or overage (paid).
