Install and activate SEOBetter

SEOBetter is a normal WordPress plugin. You can install it from the WordPress.org plugin directory or upload the zip file from seobetter.com.

Option 1: install from WordPress.org

  1. In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins > Add New.
  2. Search for "SEOBetter".
  3. Click Install Now, then Activate.

Option 2: upload the zip

If you downloaded the plugin from seobetter.com/download:

  1. Go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
  2. Click Choose File and pick the seobetter zip you downloaded.
  3. Click Install Now, then Activate.

After activation

A new SEOBetter item appears in your admin sidebar. Open SEOBetter > Setup to run the setup wizard. It takes about two minutes and walks you through connecting an AI engine and a couple of optional keys.

You don't need an account or a license key to start. The free plan works right away, and you get 2 free cloud articles so you can test generation before adding any API key.

Requirements

  • A standard WordPress install where you can add plugins.
  • Your site needs to reach the internet (SEOBetter's research runs through its cloud service).

SEOBetter works alongside SEO plugins like Yoast, Rank Math, AIOSEO, and SEOPress. It syncs meta titles and descriptions to them and steps back from schema output when one of them is already handling it, so you won't get duplicate markup.
