How do I generate an article for another country?
The Target Country picker is the first section on the Generate Content page, above Keywords. Set it before you do anything else, including Auto-suggest, because keyword research and generation both read it.
What the country setting changes
- Keyword suggestions come from that country's Google results
- Research prefers sources relevant to that region
- Local business lookups search in that country
- Prices and examples use regional context
- Schema and scoring pick up the regional signals
For example, set Target Country to New Zealand for "best pizza in christchurch nz" and the research, businesses, and suggestions all come back New Zealand flavored.
Countries on the free plan
Free supports six countries: United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and Ireland. Free articles generate in English only.
If you pick any other country on the free plan, the picker shows an upgrade notice. Full country localization and the 29 article languages are paid features.
Language is separate
The Article Language dropdown sits next to the country picker. On paid plans you can combine them freely, for example Target Country = France with Article Language = French. If your keyword is in English but the language is not, the plugin translates the keyword first so research and headings come back in the target language.
