Free plan limits

Here is everything the free plan includes and where the caps are, in one place. We'd rather you know the limits up front than hit them by surprise.

Article caps

• 2 free cloud articles, lifetime per site. No API key needed; they generate on Claude Haiku through SEOBetter Cloud. Meant for testing before you set anything up.
• 30 BYOK articles, lifetime per site. After connecting your own AI key, you can generate 30 articles. You pay your AI provider directly for these (usually $0.01 to $0.08 each); the 30-article cap is SEOBetter's free-plan limit, not a cost limit.

Both are lifetime allowances, not monthly. When they're used, generating more means upgrading to a paid plan.

Content limits

• Content types: Blog Post, How-To, and Listicle. The other 14 types (Comparison, Buying Guide, Review, Case Study, Pillar Guide, and more) are Pro.
• Language: English only. Pro unlocks 29 languages.
• Target countries: United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Ireland. Pro covers 80+ countries.
• Word count: 800 to 3,000 words, same as paid plans.
• AI providers: 1 connected provider at a time.

What's fully free, no caps

• GEO Score and SEOBetter Score, including the suggestions list and Re-analyze. Scoring runs locally on your site.
• Schema generation on post save.
• Meta title and description sync to AIOSEO, Yoast, Rank Math, and SEOPress.
• Google Search Console connect and the per-post performance data.
• llms.txt (basic version: your 20 most recent posts).
• Images via Pexels: your own free Pexels key has no SEOBetter-side cap. Without a key you get a small monthly allowance from the shared cloud pool, then Openverse fallbacks.
• Places lookups with your own keys (OpenStreetMap is always on with no key at all).
• Brand colors for article theming.

Locked to paid plans

• Pro ($39/mo): 50 cloud articles per month with no keys to manage, all 17 content types, 29 languages, 80+ countries, Brand Voice (1 profile), AI featured images, Tavily-powered verbatim quotes, Firecrawl deep research, optimized llms.txt.
• Pro+ ($69/mo): everything in Pro, plus Author Bio with E-E-A-T Person schema, GSC-driven refresh prioritization, 3 Brand Voice profiles, /llms-full.txt, 100 cloud articles across 3 sites.
• Founder plan ($99/yr): Pro features at a fixed yearly price, limited to a set number of seats while they last.

The honest summary: free is enough to test SEOBetter properly and publish around 32 real articles. If it earns its keep by then, Pro removes the caps that matter.
