How do I handle member questions for a Whop or Skool community?
You handle member questions for a Whop or Skool community by letting the content you made answer them. On Whop, the DeskCrew app reads your lessons and forum and answers members with the source cited. Skool has no app hooks, so the same answers live in a widget on your site, pinned in the community. Uncovered questions reach a person.

Why does this keep happening?
Community members ask where things are: which lesson covers pricing, where the template lives, how to get the call link, what the refund rule is. The answer is inside the community already, three clicks from where they asked.
The owner answers from DMs and the chat, which have no queue and no history. A question asked at midnight is answered at noon, if it was seen at all. Most members would rather find it themselves if finding it were possible.
The job is to put the answer in the member's path, in the chat on Whop and in a pinned link on Skool, and to make sure the ones that need you arrive somewhere with an owner.
How do I fix it, step by step?
On Whop, install the DeskCrew app
It imports your lessons, forum posts and product descriptions on install and refreshes them daily. The Support tab answers members from that content with the lesson or post cited.
Choose where it may speak
Each chat channel is off until you switch it to reply when mentioned or reply to any question, and you can require your approval before anything is posted in chat.
Decide what happens to uncovered questions
A question your content does not answer is passed to an expert on the DeskCrew board and answered within 24 hours in the member's thread, paid per question from credit you load, or it lands in your inbox. Nothing is charged unless you load credit.
On Skool, use your website
Skool offers no app hooks, so install the widget on the site your community links to, publish the same answers as articles, and pin the link in the community. Questions become tickets with the member's email.
Write the next article from the tickets
Whichever platform, the questions that reached you this week are next week's content. Add a line to the lesson or the article and the answer is there for the next member.
What is true about this today?
| Fact | Value | Source |
|---|---|---|
| DeskCrew Whop app | Answers members from the whop's own lessons, forum and products with the source cited; uncovered questions go to an expert within 24 hours | DeskCrew Whop integration, October 2026 |
| Service leaders who say at least a fifth of their tickets are repetitive but easy | 80% | DigitalGenius and Canam Research survey, via DestinationCRM, September 2018 |
| Customers who want to resolve as many issues as possible on their own | 69% | Zendesk, self-service research, July 2021 |
| DeskCrew free plan | 10 AI answers and about 100 conversations a month, no card | DeskCrew pricing, October 2026 |
What changes, and what does not?
Skool has no integration, and we will not pretend otherwise
Skool exposes no way for an app to read a community or post in it. The honest setup is the widget on your own site with a pinned link, which works, and a DM that says "ask the assistant here" for the rest.
Expert answers on Whop cost money, by design
An uncovered question can go to a paid expert, default $1 per answer from USDC credit you load, with a weekly cap. Load nothing and those questions simply reach your inbox instead.
The app knows your whop, not the world
It answers from your lessons, forum and products. A question about something you have not published gets passed on, not improvised.
What else do people ask?
What does the Whop app answer from?
Your own content: course lessons, forum posts by your team, and product and plan descriptions, imported on install and refreshed daily. Every answer cites the lesson or post it came from, so a member can open the source. Nothing is answered from general knowledge alone, which is what keeps it safe to let it speak in your chat.
Is my paid content exposed to other people?
No. Imported content stays private to your workspace and is only used to draft answers for your own members. When a question is escalated to an expert, it carries the member's question text only, never your lessons, so the expert answers the question without ever seeing a page of your course.
Does it post in my chat without asking?
Only where you switch it on. The Support tab is on by default; each chat channel stays off until you choose reply when mentioned or reply to any question, and you can require your approval before anything is posted. Most owners start with mentions only and widen it after reading a week of answers.
What can I actually do for a Skool community?
Put the DeskCrew widget on the website your Skool links to, publish the ten answers members ask most as articles, and pin the link in the community with a line like "ask the assistant first". Members get the documented answer in seconds, and anything undocumented becomes a ticket with their email attached for you.
What does it cost a community owner?
The AI answers in the Whop app are part of the app at no extra cost, and the website widget is on the free plan with no card. The only paid piece on Whop is an expert answer, default $1 per question from credit you load, with a weekly cap you control; load nothing and nothing is charged.
