Connect HubSpot: tickets on the contact timeline

DeskCrew connects to HubSpot in one click. Once connected, every support ticket is logged on the matching HubSpot contact, and the contact's details show beside the ticket in DeskCrew. No copying between tools, no Zapier.

What the connection does

  • Tickets on the contact timeline. When a ticket opens or is resolved, DeskCrew writes a note on the HubSpot contact whose email matches the customer: "Support ticket #123 opened", the subject, and a link back to the ticket. Sales sees support history without leaving HubSpot.
  • Contact context on the ticket. The ticket page shows the contact's name, company and lifecycle stage from HubSpot, with an "Open in HubSpot" link.
  • Nothing else changes in HubSpot. DeskCrew does not create contacts, edit properties, or read anything beyond the contact it matched. Tickets from an email with no HubSpot contact are simply not logged there.

Connect it

  1. In DeskCrew, open Dashboard → Integrations.
  2. On the HubSpot card, click Connect HubSpot. You need to be an admin on the DeskCrew workspace.
  3. HubSpot asks which account to connect and which permissions to grant (contacts, read and write). Choose the account and click Connect app.
  4. You land back on the Integrations page with the HubSpot card showing your account number. Done.

To stop the sync, click Disconnect on the same card. DeskCrew deletes its tokens; the notes already written stay in HubSpot.

Test it

Create a ticket for a customer whose email exists as a HubSpot contact (Dashboard → Tickets → New ticket). Open that contact in HubSpot: the note "Support ticket #N opened" appears on the Activities timeline within a few seconds. Resolve the ticket and a second note appears.

Permissions

DeskCrew asks HubSpot for read and write on contacts. Read finds the contact by email and shows its details on the ticket; write is what HubSpot requires to add a note to a contact's timeline. Tokens are stored encrypted and refreshed automatically.

Spam and privacy

Tickets marked as spam are never logged to HubSpot. Only the ticket number, subject and a link are written; message bodies stay in DeskCrew.

Add live chat to your HubSpot website too

The connection covers the CRM. To put the DeskCrew chat widget on HubSpot-hosted pages, paste the snippet into Settings → Content → Pages → Site header HTML. Steps: deskcrew.io/integrations/hubspot-website
