Receive support email at your own address (support@yourdomain)
Want emails to [email protected] to become DeskCrew tickets? You don't move your email to DeskCrew. You simply forward one address to your workspace. Takes about five minutes, and nothing about your existing email changes.
1. Find your workspace's inbound address
Every workspace has its own ticket address:
Your slug is the last part of your board link, shown on Dashboard → Install (for example, deskcrew.io/board/acme means your address is [email protected]).
2. Forward your support address to it
At whatever service handles your domain's email, create a forwarding rule from your public address (say, [email protected]) to your inbound address above.
- Cloudflare (if your DNS is there): Email → Email Routing → Create address → forward to your inbound address. Free, no mailbox needed.
- Google Workspace: Admin console → Apps → Gmail → Default routing, or a simple forwarding filter on the mailbox.
- Most registrars (Namecheap, GoDaddy, etc.) offer free email forwarding in their DNS panel.
You can forward as many addresses as you like. Help@, contact@, hello@ can all point at the same inbound address, and each email becomes a ticket in the same queue. Want everything sent to your domain captured? Use your provider's catch-all rule.
3. Send a test
Email your support address from a personal account. Within a minute you'll see a new ticket in your dashboard and get a "New ticket in the queue" alert in your own inbox.
How the conversation flows after that
- You reply from the ticket in DeskCrew. The customer receives a branded email from your workspace.
- When they reply to that email, it threads back onto the same ticket automatically (and reopens it if it was closed). No configuration needed.
- If you've enabled the AI assistant, each inbound email also gets a suggested draft waiting in your approval queue.
Optional: send from your own domain
By default replies arrive from your workspace name over our shared sending address. On the Pro plan and above (and during your trial) you can send from your own domain instead: Dashboard → Install → "Send from your own domain" walks you through adding two DNS records and verifying. Your forwarding keeps working; this only changes the from address on outgoing mail.
